Growing up with both parents being entrepreneurs, I saw through hard work that you could live the life that you wanted, on your terms. After graduating from West Chester Univeristy, where I played D1 Field Hockey and spent a semester studying in Torino, Italy, I decided to skip my degree and head into sales. It was in these horrible entry level sales positions that gave me skills that I have been able to use within my businesses but most importantly it made me realize that being in the corporate setting was not for me. I need to be free, free from other people telling me what to do, when to work, when to vacation…all of it!  

In 2005, I started selling wedding photography for a nationwide company. I was the regional manager for the tri-state area. I had to build a team of photographers, meet with clients anywhere and everywhere and sell them on my team’s photography. After a successful couple of months, I thought…I can do this on my own! I took a risk and reached out to my favorite photographer on my team and asked her if she ever wanted to own her own photography studio. From that moment on, I was in business for myself!

Over the past 18 years, I have owned and operated two successful photography studios, a wholesale fashion company and a trendy and super cute clothing boutique in Phoenixville, PA. My future as a business owner is now with Darah Renee Photography. I am focused on a new genre, one that I am so excited to explore and create. High school seniors, teens and tweens, let’s do this!
